Basketball fans and gamers alike were hyped to gain an early preview of the soon-to-be-released NBA 2K21 Next-Gen video game. Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry added to the excitement of the franchise's latest rendition via a teaser posted on Twitter:

Curry remains to be a fan favorite and one of the game's most celebrated players despite missing all but five games of the 2019-2020 season. He averaged 20.8 points in 27.8 minutes of action as he tried to ease himself back into game shape after breaking his second metacarpal early in the season.

The Warriors went on a rebuilding campaign as they primarily played second-string players and G-League swingmen for the majority of the season. The team also experimented after acquiring point guard D' Angelo Russell as part of a sign-and-trade package for All-Star forward Kevin Durant who moved on to the Brooklyn Nets.

The newly-formed partnership found little success and the 2019 NBA All-Star didn't last long in the Bay Area. Russell was eventually traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for forward Andrew Wiggins. The team eventually concluded the season with a cellar-dwelling 15-50 record which primed them to land the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming 2020 NBA Draft.

With a chance to land a promising prospect along with the looming return of Stephen Curry and shooting guard Klay Thompson, the Warriors are aiming to return to relevance and make noise in the league next season.

The NBA 2K21 teaser featuring the two-time NBA MVP only stirs more excitement for Dub Nation fans heading into the 2020-2021 season.
