Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is not ruling out the possibility of injured star shooting guard Klay Thompson being available for Team USA in the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympics in July.

Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the 54-year-old tactician said the Warriors All-Star is still not sprinting and jumping at the moment but is increasingly doing more on the floor. It appears that Thompson has not lost his touch, as seen in a clip of him knocking down threes last December.

Thompson won a gold medal twice with Team USA in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

With Thompson's fellow Warriors “Splash Brother” Stephen Curry expected to return from a broken left hand next month, Kerr confirmed that Thompson will not re-join the struggling Dubs this season.

Thompson tore his ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals against eventual champions Toronto Raptors last June.

The Warriors deadshot averaged 21.5 points on a blistering 46.7 percent shooting from the field and 40.2 percent from three in 78 regular-season games last year.
