The Washington Football Team is set to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason matchup on Friday night. It should be an interesting game, as the coaching staff will have an opportunity to evaluate the roster. Washington has a great group throughout and has the best chance of winning the NFC Eastern division.

This game against the Bengals is a great opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the prospects on the bench. The Washington Football Team has a solid starting lineup that doesn't have many holes. Instead, we should be seeing the reserves step up on Friday night, especially the offensive line. If WFT's big men can continue playing at a high level, then this team will cause problems for their opponents throughout the regular season.

Look for a rookie running back to make some noise against the Bengals, as Washington searches for depth behind Antonio Gibson and JD McKissic. Meanwhile, a rookie wide receiver could show off his talents as well. The quarterback position is a bit underwhelming. Friday night is a great chance for the backup to prove his worth. With that said, here are four bold predictions for the Washington Football Team's preseason matchup against the Bengals.

4. The offensive line shines

WFT actually has a decent offensive line. The starting rotation did a great job opening up the run lanes last year and protecting Alex Smith. Heading into the game against the Bengals, Ron Rivera and the coaching staff will want to see how the reserves do. Washington could come away pleasantly surprised, as the offensive line could prove to be a solid group this year.

3. Jaret Patterson impresses

Jaret Patterson is an exciting rookie who signed with WFT after going undrafted in the NFL draft. He's a bit undersized, but runs the ball well and has excellent vision. Patterson has been a bright spot throughout training camp and could earn a spot on the final roster with a great performance on Friday night. Look for Jaret Patterson to be featured in Washington's run game often against Cincinnati.

2. Dyami Brown balls out

Dyami Brown is an electrifying receiver who hopes to carve out a role sooner, rather than later. He's in competition with Adam Humphries for the starting slot receiver role. A strong performance against the Bengals will only benefit Brown. Washington has gone from Terry McLaurin being their only viable passing option to a plethora of weapons at their disposal. Look for Dyami Brown to flash his skills on Friday night.

1. Taylor Heinicke makes a case to be the starter

Taylor Heinicke had his first opportunity in the playoffs last year. Although Washington lost, Heinicke looked impressive playing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Many love the idea of Ryan Fitzpatrick being under center for Washington, but Taylor Heinicke isn't a bad option either. The preseason is a chance for Heinicke to prove he deserves the starting role. If he puts on a spectacular performance, Ron Rivera is going to have a difficult decision on his hands.
