Chase Young made headlines earlier this week when he called out Tom Brady following the Washington Football Team's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles to clinch a playoff spot. Ahead of Washington's Wild Card matchup with Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Young isn't backing down on his desire to face the greatest quarterback of all time.

“I'm excited for every game,” Young told reporters Wednesday, via Bleacher Report's Joseph Zucker. “Tom Brady? You think I won't be excited to play against the GOAT? You trippin'. I'm not going to apologize for saying I want Tom.”

Heading into Week 17, Washington needed a win over Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football to clinch the NFC East and a playoff spot. While Doug Pederson made some questionable decisions that aided Washington to a victory, Washington earned a chance to face Brady and the Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.

Of course, every young player's dream is to sack Brady due to him being considered by most to be the greatest quarterback of all time. Therefore, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Young is excited at the opportunity to square off with the 43-year-old quarterback.

When Young was seen in a video asking to face Brady, Bruce Arians — the head coach of the Buccaneers — warned Young to be careful of what he wished for. Brady has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in recent weeks, capping it off with 399 yards and four touchdowns in Week 17.

If Washington is going to have any chance of upsetting the Buccaneers, they are going to need Young and the defense to create pressure on Brady. With that being said, it's apparent that Young is up to the challenge of facing the legendary signal-caller.
