Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera is hoping his team doesn't stay in “loser hotels” when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
During a conference call with reporters on Saturday, Rivera was asked about his superstitions ahead of Sunday's game against the 49ers.
Nevertheless, the Washington Football Team will be seeking to win their four consecutive game on Sunday against the 49ers. Despite their slow start to the season, Washington has managed to fight their way back in the playoff race. They currently own a record of 5-7, which is tied for the top spot in the NFC East.
Since Santa Clara County announced a three-week ban on sports due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 49ers have been forced to play their home games in Arizona at State Farm Stadium. And the last time Washington played at State Farm Stadium, was during Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. They lost that game 30-15, so Rivera is hoping the team will avoid staying in the same hotel as they did in Week 2 to avoid a similar fate when facing the 49ers.
