Washington Football's 41-16 win over the Dallas Cowboys marked the squad's second consecutive victory in the span of less than a week. Their brief, yet impressive winning streak has been thanks in large part to the awesome play of Washington wide receiver Terry McLaurin. The 25-year-old team captain has been in top form for virtually the entire season, which has left quarterback Alex Smith more than impressed.

When asked to describe his superstar teammate, Smith was a bit at a loss for words:

“It's going to be tough for me to come up with all the great adjectives I'd like to come up with to describe Terry. He's a special, special player,” Smith said, via John Keim of ESPN.

Smith went on to say that Terry McLaurin is exactly the type of guy he'd like to be stuck in a foxhole with, so to speak:

“He's extremely talented, but that competitiveness when it kicks in — you can see it in his eyes,” Smith added. “He's a guy that you want to get the ball to in those situations. He's grown into really accepting that role.”

In Washington's Week 12 win over the Cowboys, Terry McLaurin caught 7-of-9 targets for 92 yards, as well as a highlight play, a D.K. Metcalf-esque chase down on what would have been a key Dallas touchdown off of an interception. While it may not have appeared on the box score, these are exactly the type of plays that characterizes McLaurin, and as Smith described above, are the ones that make him a special talent.
