Washington Football Team wide receiver Terry McLaurin came into the year with plenty of expectations, especially following his breakout campaign last season.

In Washington's season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, McLaurin already proved that his standout season last year was not a one-hit-wonder one.

Although Washington came away with a 20-16 home loss to the Chargers, McLaurin starred in the game with four receptions for 62 receiving yards. He stepped up for Washington, especially after starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick left the game due to a hip injury.

Among McLaurin's receptions in the game, he pulled off one sensational play for what is arguably the best catch of his career to date.

At one point, Chargers safety Nasir Adderley presumed that he was about to come down with a key second half interception. But the former Ohio State star had other plans in mind as he hauled in the reception to the delight of the team's coaching staff.

As Washington now turns its attention to Fitzpatrick's injury, the team surely will call upon McLaurin to step up even more for backup quarterback Taylor Heinicke in the meantime.

This will be a tall task for McLaurin as many opposing defenses have already spotlighted him as Washington's main receiving threat.
