The Washington Redskins have won two games in a row. This is not a statement that is said too often. With wins over the Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers, the Redskins have improved to 3-9. They have been the punchline of jokes about the NFC East claiming that they are mathematically still alive to win the division. Well, those jokes will end when they visit the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers are coming off a 31-13 win over the New York Giants and should have no problem making it two in a row over the NFC East. Here are three bold predictions for the road team in this one.

3. Redskins Rush for 150 Yards

Adrian Peterson, Derrius_Guice

If there is one aspect of the Redskins that has gotten better, it is their run game. Derrius Guice has been healthy and Adrian Peterson has not lost a step. The pair led Washington to 248 rush yards in their Week 13 win over the Panthers. They will need to continue this trend against the Packers.

Green Bay has been getting to the quarterback all season long. Where their front seven struggles is in the run game. They are allowing 123 yards per game on the ground which is near the bottom of the league. The defense will certainly be pinning their ears back and rushing the rookie Dwayne Haskins but there should be room for Guice and Peterson to run.

2. Rodgers is Picked Off

Packers, Aaron Rodgers

A quarterback throwing an interception in a game is usually not a bold prediction. It is when it is Aaron Rodgers against the Redskins. Rodgers has not been one to turn the ball over in his career. He has more seasons in his career with five or less interceptions than he does with double-digits. This season, Rodgers has been picked off just twice.

Believe it or not, the Redskins' defense ranks third in the NFL with 13 interceptions. That is about all they have done right on that side of the ball. Maybe they will get lucky and get a tip ball interception against Rodgers. Anything is possible.

1. Redskins Keep it Close

Dwayne Haskins

This might be as bold as it gets. The Packers are coming off an 18 point road win over the Giants and are certainly expected to beat the Redskins by more at home. They are currently 14 point favorites in this one but expect Washington to cover.

Led by the run game, the Redskins can do their best to extend the game and keep Rodgers off the field. This will also take the pressure off Haskins who will need all the help he can get. This is not to say the Redskins win the game because they are not going to. But backdoor covers happen all the time and the Redskins might get a score in garbage time.
