Antonio Gibson has done his part in ensuring that the Washington Football Team has a fighting chance in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. The halfback rushed in for his second touchdown of the game late in the fourth quarter, which tied the game at 24.

Washington was able to maintain face against the Lions mostly due to the efforts of Alex Smith. He spearheaded a 21-0 run, which afforded a down-to-the-wire scenario for Washington. He's completed 33-of-41 passes for 326 yards, which has often put Washington in striking distance of the endzone.

Gibson has completed 45 rushing yards from 13 carries to go along with his two touchdowns on Sunday. While efforts from both players have been substantial–along with the efforts of Terry McLaurin–it appears that it won't be enough against a Lions squad that proved to be too much from the start of play.

Matthew Stafford made his mark early on, and has thrown for three touchdowns while completing 71 percent of his passes.
