Atlanta Hawks center Dwight Howard has taken much criticism for his lack of creativity in the post, but he has never been known to be a great shooter either, particularly from the free-throw line.

He shot a career-low 48.9 percent from the charity stripe last season with the Houston Rockets, but he's looking to correct his issues for next season.

Howard has been working out all summer, and posting videos of segments of his workouts on social media.

This time a video was posted of Howard working with Hawks shooting coach Chris Matthews, taking jump shots from 19 feet out to work on Howard's muscle memory. If Howard remembers to shoot the ball the same exact way every time, it would go a long way toward's improving his free-throws and jumpers.

Matthews says the goal is to give Howard confidence at the free throw line, which is 15 feet from the rim.

For his career, Howard is a 56.8 percent free throw shooter, and defenses use that as an advantage when games are close, because his shot has been so unreliable.

At 30 years old, Howard is setting goals for himself to get better where many hit their prime before quickly declining.
