Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys are fresh off of a huge win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11 NFL action. It was a game that the Cowboys desperately needed as they look to get back into the NFC playoff picture. Dallas may have had a rocky season, but they are still alive and kicking.

Following the big win, the Cowboys are now 5-5 on the season. They have gotten back to .500 and are now hoping to make a push towards the playoffs.

In a quote shared by Pro Football Talk, Elliott talked about how losing a little weight has paid huge dividends for him this season.

“I think it just kind of naturally happened. I hadn’t really been trying to lose weight, but I think I have thinned up a little bit. I’ve lost a little bit of weight. I think it’s helped. I think it’s helped just being quicker and getting in and out of space and just with my conditioning also.”

For those who have not seen the new version of Elliott with some lost weight, he is an absolute beast.

Elliott has carried the football 191 times for 953 yards and five touchdowns so far this season. He has also caught 42 passes for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Those numbers show exactly how good Elliott has been this season.

Without him in the backfield, the Cowboys would be nowhere near playoff contention. Dak Prescott has struggled this season and the Dallas offense as a whole has not been consistent.

Dallas will face the Washington Redskins on Thanksgiving Day looking to improve to a positive record. Elliott against the Redskins' defense is going to be a fun matchup to watch.
