It was not long ago that Bryson DeChambeau's massive drives were the talk of the PGA world. He was consistently finding greens on par 4's and getting on in just 2 shots on par 5's. His transformation from decent long ball hitter to biggest driver in the game was remarkable. But DeChambeau is currently injured and will miss the Wells Fargo Championship. But PGA fans who love a good power hitter will have no need to fret, as one of the most powerful hitters on the Korn Ferry Tour is set to make his PGA debut in the Wells Fargo Championship. Brandon Matthews will participate in the event on a sponsor and is ready to win the hearts of golf fans.

Matthews won on the Korn Ferry Tour earlier this year and has impressed on a consistent basis. His 6'4 210 pound frame does not scream “golfer,” but it certainly has it's advantages. He led the Korn Ferry Tour in average driving distance with a ridiculous mark of 331.3 yards. Matthews has also registered ball speeds of over 190 MPH.

Brandon Matthews breaks down his swing in the above-posted video. He focuses a lot on speed and mechanics to compliment his large frame.

Obviously there is more to golf than hitting the long ball. Being able to execute the short game is of the utmost importance. But Matthews has displayed an ability to execute in all facets of the game as evidenced by his success on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Now Brandon Matthews is ready to take the PGA by storm.
