Are you ready to receive some free NFTs to use in your games? Because Ubisoft is about to give away some for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint. These are called Ubisoft Digits, which will be used through the new Ubisoft Quartz innovative experiment.

What is Ubisoft Quartz?
Ubisoft Quartz is simultaneously the project and the platform of exchange for Ubisoft's NFTs. A mobile app is available for download, and once connected to your Ubisoft Connect account, will serve as the wallet for all of your Ubisoft NFTs. It will also be able to facilitate the use of your NFTs in multiple games, although right now on Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint supports Ubisoft's NFTs.
Ubisoft is pertaining to Ubisoft Quartz as an experiment with gaming NFTs. However, this is definitely not the first time the company has dabbled in NFTs. Its Innovation Labs gave them the opportunity to work with other NFT developers, most notably the developers of Axie Infinity as well as Nine Chronicles. Ubisoft's NFT experiment is a years-long affair, with Ubisoft Quartz being the result of deeply-researched studies.
What are Ubisoft Digits?
Ubisoft Digits are what the company calls their NFTs. These are limited-edition cosmetic-only in-game items that players can use and trade. In-game, each Digit will be distinguishable with a unique serial number. The Digit will also track its previous owners, showing a history of users who have acquired the Digit.
Ubisoft Digits are meant to be used across different games, but right now only Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint supports them. A drop will happen on December 9, December 12, and December 15, where eligible players will receive a limited-edition Ubisoft Digit for free for them to use in the game. Players will be free to use these Digits in-game or trade them with other players as they see fit. To get your very own Ubisoft Digits, simply download the Ubisoft Quartz mobile app, log in using your Ubisoft account, and set up your cryptowallet.
It is currently unknown if Ubisoft Digits are compatible with other NFT wallets right now, such as TofuNFT.
Ubisoft is promoting Digits as the first energy-efficient playable NFTs in existence. Transactions involving Ubisoft Digits and Ubisoft Quartz are done under the Tezos blockchain, a proof-of-stake blockchain that is 1 million times more energy-efficient than Bitcoin.
