The greatest rivalry in college football makes its return this Saturday as the Iron Bowl, the annual showdown between the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide, will take place in Tuscaloosa.

Zac Blackerby, the host of Locked On Auburn, and Luke Robinson, the host of Locked On Bama had a crossover episode previewing the matchup. The hosts discussed what Auburn would have to do to make a statement and how they could pull off the upset.

Blackerby: I think the Auburn offense, it needs to go through Tank Bigsby on early downs, and I think you hope you can get to third and short, third and three or third and two. Auburn’s been going on third down over the stretch, really since Georgia. The offense has really picked it up. Bet yes, I agree with you. I think you’ve got to hope that his hip is better and that’s he’s able to be as close to 100 percent as he possibly can and then the passing game, to me, it is Seth Williams or bust. If you’re Auburn, I think he’s going to be the only option that’s consistently physical enough to win those 50/50 balls. I think you use Eli Stove a little bit, he’s Mr. Consistent. He’s been at Auburn for forever. He’s one of those guys that whenever he gets a target, it ends up as a first down. He doesn’t get a ton of targets, not as many as I think he should, but I think those are going to be the two guys. I like what you said about Schwartz. I think Auburn has finally figured out how to use him, but I just don’t think that’s how you’re going to beat Alabama in the Iron Bowl. It would be with Seth and Eli, two possession type guys, to keep your defense off of the field. You have to keep Mac Jones and this elite Alabama offense off of the field.
