We got some new exciting details on MLB The Show 23 Season 4. The main changes to Season 4 include the new Snapshot series, Team Affinity 4, All Sets II, and more.

With the new season means new set 4 cards. Additionally, this means the set 2 cards will rotate out of eligibility soon. Set 3 cards remain with sets 1 and 2 periodically returning for Wild Cards.

Everything New In MLB The Show Season 4

First off, completing any number of programs in season 3, you receive a bonus into season 4. This includes an XP boost, new XP reward path, stubs and packs to get you started for the new season.

Snapshot Series

The new season centers around the new Snapshot series, which includes player cards with some swagger to them. The set 4 collection of Diamond Player cards does something different his season with an off-the-field approach for card designs.

Unlocking a certain amount of cards from the set unlocks you a the following rewards:

New MLB The Show 23 Season Brings Team Affinity 4 & Other Collections

Snapshot Series makes its way to Team Affinity 4 with bosses, one from teach team. Overall, Team Affinity remains the same as previous seasons. You got Tasks full of Moments, Missions, three new Showdowns and conquest maps, and other challenges to complete. However, there are some differences on the progression path:

At Tier 13, after receiving 60,000 points, you get a choice pack, where you can select the following diamond player items from the Snapshot Series:

    • Jim Palmer
    • Babe Ruth
    • Mariano Rivera
    • Wade Boggs
    • Alejandro Kirk

Additionally Team Affinity 4 Mini-Seasons arrives. Like before, you win games, earn vouchers, and earn progress towards your Team Affinity.

  • 3-Inning Games
  • Difficulty: All-Star
  • Free Entries

Getting 20 wins in All Sets II earns you a Prime Series Diamond Joe Torre, along with a Snapshot Series Ryan Pressly earlier in the reward path.

The following streak rewards include:

  • 3 wins — 75-79 Live Series Silver
  • 6 wins — 80-84 Live Series Gold
  • 9 wins — 85-89 Live Series Diamond
  • 12 wins – 99 OVR Diamond Cedric Mullins (Awards Series)

New Ranked in MLB The Show 23's Newest Season And Other Rewards

MLB The Show 23 Season 4 includes a new Ranked Rating path full of rewards. Increase your rating to unlock more packs, items, props, and much more. Progressing up through the Ranked progression earns you extra rewards at no cost other than playing to win.

This includes snapshot players German Marquez and Edgar Martinez in the Pennant Race pack. Additionally, other Snapshot players include Greg Maddux in the Wild Card Pack, Tony Gonsolin in the Championship Series, and Gary Carter in the World Series Pack.

A new Ranked 6 Program comes with more tasks, including both solo and co-op missions to complete. Earn stubs, XP, and other rewards to help pave your bath to card collecting and team building.

Season 4 XP Reward Path

The Season 4 XP reward path kicks off with a free 10,000 XP reward. The rest of the reward path includes more goodies like stadium sounds, icons, XP, Stubs, and more.

More Snapshot Series cards are available including:

  • Martin Perez & Bob Gibson (97 OVR Choice Pack) 40,000 XP
  • Max Fried At 200,000 XP
  • Manny Machado & Cliff Lee (Boss Pack) at 250,000 XP
  • Jim Rice at 300,000 XP

Additionally, The Season 4 XP Reward Path includes a “spin-the-wheel” feature that grants you more rewards for just 25,000 XP a piece. The following rewards include Chase packs, Boss Packs, Diamond Duos, and more.

However, to get your desired reward, you must stop the wheel when the spotlight shines over the reward you want. When the wheel stops, you get a choice of choosing one of two rewards, depending on the result of your spin.

Choice Packs now cost 40,000 stubs, limited to just 3 per user. The Bundle costs 70,000 stubs and includes two packs (1 Use Only)

Roster Update – Transactions

A new roster update focusing on the latest transaction also makes its way to MLB The Show 23. According to the Season 4 blog, these updates will occur weekly. Additionally Roster Updates focusing on Attributes occur every three weeks of the season. The next attribute update takes place Friday, September 8th.
