The Chicago White Sox are in the midst of a disappointing 2022 season. The team was picked by many to win the World Series this year. But as of this article's writing, Chicago places a fairly distant third in the AL Central. White Sox manager Tony La Russa has dealt with his share of criticism this season as well. Former Chicago manager, Ozzie Guillen, recently called La Russa “Rick Renteria with credentials.” Guillen's comment caught MLB insider Jon Heyman's attention.

“Will be interesting to see if it’s possible to get someone’s job by insulting them on a postgame show,” Heyman tweeted in response to Guillen.

Guillen did not take kindly to Heyman's sarcastic response. He sent the following tweet in reference to Heyman's remark.

“My wife will be mad but tired of this liar talking about me. Your a jelous man that me with sh*t English do the job you do. All you do is lie about stories. I get paid to talk baseball just like you. I said I love Tony but I gave my opinion and he know how I feel. You always hate”

This led to a Twitter battle between Jon Heyman and Ozzie Guillen.

This is a developing story. Guillen and Heyman are still currently going back-and-forth on Twitter.

Neither MLB Network nor the New York post likely is fond of Heyman getting into this feud. But the White Sox surely aren't thrilled about Guillen's involvement either.

As for the White Sox, Tony La Russa could be on the hot seat soon. He made another questionable managing decision against the Guardians yesterday which drew criticism from around the league.

This is undeniably a messy situation.
