Chicago White Sox Legend Minnie Minoso has been elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame by The Golden Days Era committee.

Minoso is a 13-time All-Star, a 1947 World Series champion, and a three-time Gold Glove winner. He definitely deserved to be in the Hall of Fame and they did a great job by finally electing him. He had some great seasons throughout his career including 1951 with the White Sox where he hit .324 with 10 home runs and stole 31 bases.

This is an incredible honor for somebody who has done so much for the game of baseball. While on the White Sox and the other teams that he played for, he had to deal with racism as baseball was finally just starting to accept none white players to play the game. Minoso who was born in La Habana, Cuba, played in the major leagues for 20 seasons. He is one of the greatest White Sox of all time and joined some elite company with finally making the Hall of Fame.

The Golden Days ERA committee is something that Major League Baseball put together a few years ago and it is definitely something that they should keep. They go back and pick some players who they believe have a chance to be in the Hall of Fame and vote on them accordingly.

Minoso is going to go down as one of the best to ever play after being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
