The Chicago White Sox are taking on the Oakland Athletics in a winner-take-all Game 3 in the Wild Card Series on Thursday, and White Sox rookie Luis Robert is trying to power Chicago to the American League Division Series.

Robert hit an absolute moonshot off A's starter Mike Fiers in the second inning. The ball traveled an estimated 487 feet, with an estimated exit velocity of over 112 mph.

Just check out this monster dinger:

This long ball had it all: the launch angle, distance and, as Robert ensured, a gnarly bat flip to the dugout.

The White Sox are making their first postseason appearance since 2008, and Robert is a big reason for their success.

Robert hit 11 homers and stole nine bases while ranking in the 99th percentile in outs above average, per Baseball Savant.

While the 23-year-old had a brutal September, hitting just .136 with a .409 OPS, it appears Robert is busting out of his slump. It could not come at a better time for the White Sox.
