The Indianapolis Colts will square off against the Oakland Raiders in their second consecutive game at Lucas Oil Stadium. With their injuries on offense, Eric Ebron is set to have a huge performance for the Colts against Oakland.

Last year, in his first season in Indianapolis, Ebron had a career year with 66 receptions for 750 yards and 13 touchdowns. After disappointing with the Detroit Lions in his first four seasons in the NFL, the receiving tight end made his first Pro Bowl in 2018.

Now, after three games in 2019, Ebron is amidst a dry spell for the first time with the Colts. Ebron only has seven receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown this season with Jacoby Brissett as his quarterback.

Despite his early-season struggles, the pass-catching tight end is poised to break out in Week 4 versus the Raiders. The Raiders are currently 1-2 this season and have been mediocre against tight ends up to this points.

Furthermore, Oakland has given up 207 receiving yards to tight ends this season (eight-most in the NFL). That favors Ebron this Sunday against the Raiders less-than-stellar secondary.

As a matter of fact, the two players who could be tasked with covering Ebron (Lamarcus Joyner or Karl Joseph) have been terrible to begin the season. Both defensive backs have combined to be targeted 18 times and have allowed 17 receptions.

Along with the Raiders secondary being average, Ebron may see more targets in the offense. At this moment, T.Y. Hilton is appearing to be doubtful to suit up on Sunday with a quad injury.

The Colts wide receiver didn't practice on Friday; which should increase Ebron's share of targets in the offense this Sunday. Over the first three games, the Pro Bowl tight end has only been targeted 11 times by his new quarterback.

As many know, Ebron had Andrew Luck as his quarterback in 2018. Both seemed to have a decent rapport from the get-go last year. This season, the chemistry between Brissett and Ebron has yet to show on the field.

In Week 4, Ebron may garner his season total in targets against the Raiders. As a result, he should have his best game of the season against a Raiders team that can't seem to figure anything out on defense.

With that being said, Ebron could find the end zone twice on Sunday and could gash the Raiders defense for 100 yards. If you have the Colts tight end in fantasy football, this is the week you need to be confident with him in your starting lineup.
