Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins hasn't had a great track record on Monday Night Football, but he is going to prove his worth this time by pulling out a big victory against Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

This is a really good matchup for Cousins and the Vikings offense, let's break down some reasons he is ready for another big game.

Healthy Receivers

Cousins did a good job of spreading the ball around when Adam Thielen was out because of a hamstring injury, but he is back to 100 percent and that is a great thing for the Vikings' offense.

When Thielen was out, Cousins still found a way to get the ball to Stefon Diggs. With Thielen back, there is no way the Packers or any defense can take away both of them and that opens up the field.

Against the Los Angeles Chargers, Diggs caught four passes for 76 yards. The first time the Vikings played the Packers this year it was Thielen having the big game, catching five passes for 75 yards. Who knows which one it will be on Monday night, but Diggs or Thielen is going to have a big game.

Confidence

The biggest change from last season for Kirk Cousins has been the confidence he is playing with. Cousins trusts his offensive line to keep him upright and for his receivers to catch the ball, which has led to the success we have seen.

The last game the Vikings lost was against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football a few weeks ago, but that really wasn't his fault.

Early in the game, the play calling by the Vikings was conservative and by the time they let him open it up, it was too late. He still finished that game throwing for 276 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings' staff knows they can't be conservative in this game, and they should let Cousins let it fly early, which is going to spell good results.

On the season, Cousins has completed 70 percent of his passes for 3,481 yards, 25 touchdowns, and five interceptions.

With the way the Vikings defense has been playing, it might take a big game from Cousins to get the job done, but the confidence is there it should get done.

The Packers have never won a game at US Bank Stadium and that won't change on Monday night. There has been some talk about Cousins receiving an extension, and he is going to prove why he deserves it against the Packers.
