Although teams have been able to abuse the Philadelphia Eagles' secondary so far this season, the team's run defense has been its saving grace. The only team that allows fewer rushing yards per game is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who have Ndamukong Suh stuffing opposing running backs at the line of scrimmage.

In a division that hosts top running backs such as Ezekiel Elliott and Saquon Barkley, if the Eagles were to add Suh to their already dominant run defense they could take away their division rivals top offensive weapons. A combination of Fletcher Cox and Suh would not only discourage any team from running the ball up the middle, but potentially help a secondary that has been the worst in the NFL by getting to the quarterback even quicker.

Although Suh has bounced around the league in the last couple of seasons, he is still a dominant presence that can assist any team but especially one that already has weapons on that defensive line.

The Buccaneers don't seem to be going anywhere this season and flipping Suh for a pick might be the best course of action for a team that will most likely be building around a new quarterback soon.

If the Eagles were to acquire Suh it could also add some insurance to that defensive line. If Cox or anyone from that line were to go down with an injury, the Eagles' would lose the only successful part of their defense. Suh would not only give the team piece of mind but keep that d-line solid.

If Ronald Darby and Avante Maddox are able to get back to full strength and at least make the Philadelphia secondary respectable, the Eagles have more than a punchers chance at making noise in the postseason.

Suh was not able to get the ring he was looking for in Los Angeles last season, making Philadelphia, who has those expectations coming into the season, a perfect fit. Suh's motivation and performance on a winning squad that is actually playing for something can help increase his numbers. Already with two fumble recoveries this season, and even a touchdown against the aforementioned Rams, Suh still has talent and ability left in the tank but seeing that on the Eagles could be special.

The Eagles need to make a move on the defensive side of the ball and adding Suh would not only make sense but put them back in the NFC conversation.
