The Denver Broncos started the 2019 season poorly. They began 0-4, then advanced to 3-8. However, they went 4-1 the rest of the way to finish the season 7-9.

While that is still nothing to go crazy over, it shows that they are making serious moves in the right direction. And heading into the offseason there was already plenty for Broncos fans to get excited about.

The defense is more than just solid. The Broncos boast some incredible talents, with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb as some clear standouts.

Meanwhile, the offense is led by Broncos quarterback Drew Lock. Lock looked more than promising in 2019. And he has some incredible young weapons to grow alongside him. Noah Fant at tight end, Phillip Lindsay at running back and Courtland Sutton at wide receiver.

That's not a full team though. So while the Broncos are exciting and clearly on the rise, this is not a team to worry about right now, right?

Wrong! *Imagine that in Charlie Murphy's voice please, thanks.

Now think about the additions they made this offseason. A.J. Bouye is one of the best cornerbacks in football. And adding Melvin Gordon to the running back unit is certainly interesting and adds a new dynamic to the offense.

Of course, the draft made sure that Lock is absolutely loaded with weapons. The first two picks for Denver were used to add to the wide receivers, bringing in Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler.

Now think about that again. The Broncos have a young quarterback that showed all types of potential in his rookie year in Lock. He is now healthy with NFL experience and another offseason to hone his skills/knowledge.

That same quarterback has now had more work with his weapons, and been given even more young talent to grow with.

Meanwhile, the defense brought in a star cornerback to keep pace and has one of the scariest pass rushing duos in all of football.

This is a team that was gaining tons of momentum at the end of 2019. Finishing the year 4-1 shows just how close they were to putting it all together and making a legitimate run at the playoffs.

And now they are kind of being buried in the news again. The Kansas City Chiefs are the star of that division. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers have a new stadium and are on Hard Knocks.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski and Drew Brees is returning to the New Orleans Saints.

Joe Burrow went to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Redskins got Chase Young.

So many other teams made these incredible moves this offseason that Denver has gone relatively unnoticed.

Once the season starts, that will change though. The Broncos are one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. They are young and absolutely overflowing with potential. However, that does not mean they will have to wait to make a run at the playoffs.

2020 will be a fun year for a lot of reasons. But don't be shocked if the Broncos are not only one of the most exciting teams of the year, but also the breakout stars, making a legitimate postseason run.
