Le'Veon Bell may be up for trade pretty soon, but that doesn't mean that the New York Jets should take the bait in bringing him onto the team.

The Steelers running back is a pending free agent, and recently, he tweeted that $60 million wasn't enough for him to join Gang Green. While that seemed like a flippant joke in response to a fan — and, indeed, he wrote that after a fan asked him what it would take for him to join the team — that response forms the crux of many reasons why him coming to New York is a bad idea.

And while the bitter player is looking to move on — and, unlike with Antonio Brown, the Steelers seem actively interested in shopping him — USA Today explains that the move will be an expensive one. So expensive, in fact, that it won't be worth it in the long run.

“No teams have met Pittsburgh’s steep asking price, which is no surprise. The Jets, who have been linked to Bell for a while now, shouldn’t have any interest in doing so. New York doesn’t have a long-term plan at running back and Bell is one of the elite rushers in the game, but Colbert is asking for far too much, especially considering how untenable the situation is. New York, meanwhile, doesn’t even have a second-round pick in 2019 after sending it to the Colts in the package that eventually landed Sam Darnold. Mike Maccagnan would be foolish to offer that pick if he had it, let alone a more valuable asset such as a first-rounder.”

Le'Veon Bell, like his former teammate, seems to be more trouble than he's worth, and for that reason alone, the Jets need to steer clear.
