Odell Beckham Jr. will have a new head coach with the Cleveland Browns this season, but there's no guarantee that it'll change his opinion on whether he wants to be with the team for a while or push to play elsewhere. The question of where the outspoken wide receiver could go next is anyone's guess. One place he could eventually head is to the New England Patriots, and that is a thought that would send shockwaves throughout the league.

While he does talk a lot off the field and had a bad first season with the Browns, there's no denying that OBJ is still one of the most exciting wide receivers in the NFL. While that is true, it's still uncertain whether it's worth it for someone else to give up a couple of assets and picks in exchange for acquiring his services from the Browns.

The answer that makes the most sense to the question is yes, especially for a team like the Patriots. Beckham is a talented wide receiver who can instantly and maybe single-handedly bring New England's offense back to relevance. If there's something that the Patriots and Bill Belichick value more than anything, it's talent. And Beckham is definitely one of the more superb talents in the NFL if placed in the right situation.

One of the biggest criticisms the Patriots got last season was their lack of firepower in the passing game. While Tom Brady was still a quality quarterback, it seemed like Father Time has finally caught up to him. Moreover, Julian Edelman and some of the team's most important receivers were out of commission for a while.

Rob Gronkowski's retirement also had an adverse effect on their offense. Injecting a wild card like Beckham into the New England equation should freshen things up for the AFC giants.

However, the question now lies in his attitude. He was a major source of headaches during his early years with the New York Giants, and he was equally defiant during his first season with the Browns. He openly clashed with Freddie Kitchens, and there was definitely tension at times between him and Baker Mayfield.

However, that wouldn't happen on a New England team that could bring back Tom Brady next season. Brady has led the Patriots to a lot of wins in his Hall of Fame career, and that's something Beckham would have no choice but to respect.

Moreover, Belichick is not the type of person that would put up with any nonsense from Beckham. He's seen what he can do with Antonio Brown. If the Patriots make an attempt at trading for Beckham, he would likely think twice before acting up.

The Beckham-Patriots partnership simply makes a lot of sense for both parties. Now it's all up to the New England front office to actually pursue the deal.
