One of the benefits of being an NBA player is being friends with people from the entertainment industry, including rappers. Players like LeBron James, James Harden, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry have notable friendships with some of the biggest names in hip-hop, who are also often spotted attending NBA games.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa is also friends with several NBA players, including Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant. However, Wiz remembers one incident when he partied with Durant that the two-time champion would probably rather forget. In an Instagram Live session promoting his Taylor Nights playlist, Khalifa recalled the time when he went to the club with Durant but got left by the 2014 MVP outside the venue.

The rapper claimed he was once asked by Durant to join him at a club, but for some reason, all of the 32-year-old’s companions except him were allowed inside.

Via HipHopDX:

“Kevin Durant, you remember when you left me outside the club?” he says followed by a sigh of disappointment. “Yeah, man, he left me outside the club. We was bout to get in the club and they looked at him and they looked at everybody he was with and they was like, ‘Y’all can get in but he can’t,’ and he was like, ‘Bruh, I’m going to see you later, yo.'”

Durant promised Khalifa that he would come back for him and went inside the club. But according to the rap star, the two-time Finals MVP never came back for him. Fortunately, Khalifa was eventually able to make his way inside the venue and met up with Durant once he got in.

Fortunately, the rapper appears to have moved on from the incident, saying there was no love lost between him and the former Golden State Warriors star. Durant, meanwhile, continues to recover with a strained left hamstring and will miss his fourth consecutive game when the Nets face the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday, according to ESPN's Malika Andrews. Brooklyn, however, has won five straight games and sits second in the Eastern Conference with a 19-12 record.
