The Washington Wizards will make sure to extend “an aggressive offer” to restricted free agent Otto Porter once the free agency window opens at midnight, remaining fully-willing to match any incoming offers for the Georgetown product, according to The Undefeated's Mike Wise.

Porter finally had his breakout season in his fourth year with Washington, averaging 13.4 points on 51.6 percent from the floor, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game.

A 6-foot-8 forward with a long wingspan, not only was Porter a nightmare on the wing with his long reach in passing lanes, but also tormented defenses with his fifth-best 43.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc — making 148 treys over 80 games played in 2016-17.

Washington could struggle to find a replacement of his caliber, despite point guard John Wall‘s recruiting efforts to bring in Indiana Pacers swingman Paul George to the nation's capital.

The Brooklyn Nets are preparing to shell out a large offer for Porter once midnight hits, one the Wizards can choose to match in order to retain his services.
