Bradley Beal and the Washington Wizards were on the wrong end of history on Tuesday after blowing a 35-point lead and allowing the Los Angeles Clippers to win despite leading by seven points with 20 seconds remaining. Apparently, however, a botched call helped LA's comeback and doomed the Capital city franchise.

According to the latest Last 2 Minute report from the NBA, Beal actually fouled Luke Kennard before the Clippers swingman pulled off his epic four-point play that catapulted them to the 116-115 win. With that said, the shot should not have counted and should have just resulted to two free throws.

Of course that doesn't mean the Wizards would have won since there was still a chance for the Clippers to tie the game with 1.9 seconds left if they made one free throw and purposely missed the other. However, the odds would have been in Washington's favor in that instance.

Unfortunately for Bradley Beal and the team, they got robbed of the chance to win due to the failed call. They are partly to blame for blowing such a massive lead, but they certainly have a big reason to be frustrated with the turn of events considering the wrong call.

Not to mention that the Wizards are fighting for playoff positioning in the East. The lost dropped them to 10th in the standings at 23-25, so that defeat was surely a costly one.

For what it's worth, the Wizards also need to do a better job defending in clutch situations, having been victimized by buzzer-beaters and game-winners for several times now.
