The Washington Wizards are winless through their first five games, and Bradley Beal isn't happy about it.

Beal voiced his frustration after his team's 133-130 home loss to the Chicago Bulls at Capital One Arena on Thursday. Optimistically, he believes that frustration will boil over into better basketball sooner rather than later:

“Yeah, everybody’s pissed,” Beal said, via Fred Katz of The Athletic. “We’re pissed off, yup. But in a good way. We’re pissed off.”

The All-Star guard pledged to be better going forward:

“Everybody has their own ritual. I’m not changing mine,” he said, “But I have to be better…We gotta rally together. We gotta do it together.”

The Wizards lost despite the fact that Chicago was without four players who are going through the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Otto Porter Jr. dropped 28 points on a putrid Wizards defense, while Zach LaVine added 22 points. The Bulls lost their first three games of the season before getting back-to-back wins over Washington in the nation's capital.

Russell Westbrook had his fourth straight triple-double in his four games in D.C. (22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists), while Beal and Thomas Bryant both score 28 points. Of course, those stats mean nothing without wins:

“We don't do moral victories,” Beal said, via ESPN. “I have to do better on the floor. I have to close the game out.”

His coach, Scott Brooks, made the best case for remaining positive after the loss:

“There's a lot of season left,” Wizards coach Scott Brooks said. “That first win is always going to be tough.”

The Wizards are surrendering 122.2 points per game so far in 2020-21, amongst the worst averages in the league. After falling to the Philadelphia 76ers on opening night, Brooks' squad dropped consecutive matchups to the Orlando Magic before hosting Chicago for two games. Westbrook was extremely frustrated after Tuesday's loss, and he didn't speak to the media after Thursday's defeat.

Beal and Westbrook will have their next chance to get in the W column on Friday, in a road contest with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
