Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal didn't join his teammates at Disney World for the season restart due to a nagging shoulder injury. While Beal was upset he couldn't help his team, there may have been a silver lining to him resting.

According to Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard, Beal is feeling better than ever since he has been resting this whole time. In fact, the star sharpshooter hasn't touched a basketball in a while.

“Bradley and I spoke yesterday, he said he's never felt better,” Sheppard said, via Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington.

“The shoulder is coming around. He's not been touching the basketball since our workouts, intentionally, just so he can get the shoulder at 100 percent. Shooting the ball seemed to have irritated it when he was working out with his.”

For the Wizards to make the playoffs next season, both Bradley Beal and John Wall will have to be healthy and productive. The last time both All-Stars were healthy at the same time was in the 2016-17 season, during which they each averaged 23.1 points per game. Washington got to the second round of the playoffs that year.

This 2019-20 campaign, Beal put up 30.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists in 57 starts. He was second in the league in scoring and has firmly established himself as one of the best players in the NBA.

The Wizards are certainly hoping that Beal and Wall can lead the team back to the playoffs next season.
