For some reason, Kent Bazemore decided to take a shot at Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal in relation to the tight scoring title race between himself and Bazemore's Golden State Warriors teammate Stephen Curry.

Beal caught wind of the message and decided to fire back at Baze.

It was Bazemore who threw the first punch, saying that other guys in the league were ā€œhurting hamstrings to keep upā€ with Curry's insane scoring pace. Baze was clearly referencing Beal, who recently got ruled out with a hamstring injuryā€“to which the Wizards star clearly took exception.

Bradley Beal did not even attempt to be subtle with his clapback, as he went on an all-out tirade against Kent Bazemore. It seemed nothing more than just a mild jab by Baze, but it prompted a flurry of haymakers from the Wizards star. Needless to say, Beal took offense to Bazemore's comments.

For what it's worth, Beal and Curry are neck-and-neck for the season's scoring title. Beal is currently averaging a career-best 31.4 points per game. Steph, on the other hand, is currently at 31.9 points per game, which is also a career-best mark for the former back-to-back MVP winner.

The race to the finish is already as fired up as it can be, and Bazemore's antics here just made things a bit spicier. Whether or not it will benefit his teammate remains to be seen, though. At the end of the day, it probably won't matter at all.
