Washington Wizards fans can finally let out a huge sigh of relief after Bradley Beal confirmed he did not injure his Achilles on Sunday. While the red-hot Wizards extended their winning streak to eight with a 119-110 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, there were some concerns that Beal may have suffered a significant injury.

It didn't help that the 27-year-old scorer claimed that he felt like he got kicked at one point in the match. This, of course, is a scary moment since it usually indicates an Achilles-related injury.

But after the match, Beal revealed that there's no need to worry since his Achilles seems to be just fine.

Now that's one huge bullet the Wizards managed to dodge. After all, things just finally started clicking for the team, who looks like they're locking in their slot in the playoff play-in tournament in the East. A catastrophic season-ending injury for Beal would definitely put an end to their playoff hopes.

Achilles injuries, after all, have been the bane of players in recent years. The late NBA icon Kobe Bryant was never the same after blowing his Achilles back in his playing days, while Los Angeles Clippers center DeMarcus Cousins has also looked like a shell of his former self.

Beal, on the other hand, had another fine outing on Sunday, torching the Cavs to a tune of 33 points, six rebounds, three assists, and one steal, while going 13-for-24 from the field in 39 minutes. Wizards fans can definitely sleep soundly tonight following Beal's health update.
