Trade or no trade, win or no win, Bradley Beal just keeps getting those buckets.

The Washington Wizards absorbed another defeat after bowing to the Houston Rockets on Tuesday, 107-88. But it was not for the lack of trying from Beal, who scored a game-high 33 points on 12-of-28 shooting from the field. He also added five rebounds and four assists in another losing effort.

Despite the loss, Beal received consolation as he achieved a new milestone. According to ESPN Statistics and Information, he became only the sixth player in NBA history to score at least 25 points in each of his first 12 games of a season. The other five guys? They're pretty good too: Rick Barry, Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and Michael Jordan.

The 26-year-old Beal, who's consistently being mentioned in trade rumors, has scored at least 30 points in six of their last seven games. He also made a good account of himself in his first meeting with former teammate John Wall, who wasn't so bad either with 24 points and five assists.

The Wizards' league-worst 3-10 record notwithstanding, Beal is having his finest season so far in terms of numbers. He is the NBA's top scorer with a career-high 33.9 points per game. He's shooting 42.7 percent from the floor while adding 5.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

But despite the two-time All-Star's impressive performances, the Wizards couldn't pull off more wins. Beal's supposed running mate Russell Westbrook has mostly been pedestrian, while the supporting cast has been largely inconsistent. It didn't help that the Wizards also lost starting center Thomas Bryant to a season-ending ACL injury.

Much like Jordan's two-year stint in The Capital, Bradley Beal has been the lone bright spot for the Wizards and it looks like it will remain that way.
