Jayson Tatum is going to miss some time with the Boston Celtics after testing positive for COVID-19. Turns out, his situation also affects the Washington Wizards. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Bradley Beal is set to miss Washington's game against the Miami Heat on Saturday due to contact tracing with Tatum.

Early on Friday, it was discovered that Robert Williams tested positive for COVID-19 on the Celtics. As a result, Tristan Thompson and Grant Williams were ruled as close contacts to Williams, forcing them to quarantine away from the team.

Beal and the Wizards took on the Celtics Friday night where Tatum was exposed to all of the players involved in the game.

To make matters worse though, Beal was seen speaking to Tatum after the game. Beal also spoke about the struggles that come with having to guard Tatum. Out of all the players who saw the court on Friday night against the Celtics, the NBA is singling out Beal as a close contact.

There are multiple teams across the league dealing with issues pertaining to COVID-19 in recent days. The Philadelphia 76ers were shorthanded due to injuries and COVID-19 on Saturday, forcing them to play a game with only seven players in their rotation.

Despite more than a handful of players being exposed to Tatum on Friday night, the NBA believes Beal is the only player that should be held out by the Wizards against the Heat on Saturday.
