For the second straight game, Washington Wizards superstar Bradley Beal scored more than 50 points. His team, however, ended up losing on both occasions.

After finishing with a career-best 53 markers versus the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, the 26-year-old smooth operator once again re-set his career-high by dropping 55 markers against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Capital One Arena on Monday. He is the only Wizards player in franchise history to achieve the scoring feat in back-to-back games.

Beal's herculean efforts, however, still went for naught as the Wizards lost in overtime, 137-134. This is Washington's third straight defeat, as they dropped their record to 20-36 for ninth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Per Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, Beal acknowledged how hard it was to battle against the best team in the league this season.

“We know how tough of a team they are. We know they’re the best team in the league right now but we’re going to compete with the best of them and we’re not going to go out without a fight,” Beal shared

Although Washington is currently out of the playoff picture, the team can still catch up with the current eight seed Orlando Magic. Despite the loss, Beal is proud of how his team fared against the formidable Bucks.

“In my head, it’s like I was viewing this as a first-round matchup if we get there. Just kind of our message to them,” he added.

Bradley Beal was on fire in the end as he scored 22 of his team's final 24 points: all in all, he shot 19-for-33 from the field and knocked in eight if his 13 attempts from three-point territory.

“I was just locked in. I was just having fun. Definitely probably the most fun game I’ve ever played in,” he furthered, describing his fourth quarter display.
