Wizards star Bradley Beal reveals ‘crazy’ thought on John Wall after win vs. Rockets
Per Fred Katz of The Athletic, Beal shared his thoughts about facing up against Wall moving forward. The Wizards guard does not seem to believe that he’ll play alongside the speedy guard ever again.
“I’m definitely looking forward to competing against him the rest of my career, as crazy as that may sound,” Beal shared.
Bradley Beal also praised John Wall for playing exceptionally well despite missing some significant time off the court, per Ava Wallace of the Washington Post. To recall, Wall missed two seasons due to a series of injuries. Fans and analysts were understandably concerned if Wall will ever be the same again, but so far, those concerns have been quelled by his performances with the Rockets.
“It’s all there, he’s putting it together. I couldn’t be nothing but happy for him, after what he’s been through the past two years,” the Wizards star furthered.
It’s a crazy thought indeed. After all, it’s still possible that Beal and Wall will be teammates again somewhere down the line. It happened with James Harden and Russell Westbrook last year, and it’s happening with Harden and Kevin Durant this season.
Perhaps Beal has his own reasons why he believes that he won’t ever don the same jersey again with Wall. Be as it may, he seems happy with Wall’s situation with the Rockets. Besides, they did some great things during their stint in Washington.
Team record wise, Wall seems to be doing better than Beal. However, the Wizards leader has remained positive amid all his team’s struggles, noting that he still believes that he could win in the city that drafted him. Washington did win their latest showdown with Houston, though.
