Washington Wizards superstar Bradley Beal was extremely amused with his former teammate Marcin Gortat's hilarious tweet on Monday.

The Polish Hammer flashed his sense of humor when he “permitted” new Wizards point guard Russell Westbrook to use his old no.4 jersey with the team. Beal retweeted Gortat and accompanied his response with several laughing-crying emojis.

Marcin Gortat was a pretty solid center in DC during his stint with the team from 2013 to 2018. In fact, the 6-foot-11 center enjoyed the best seasons of his pro career playing in The Capital, where he normed 11.6 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.1 block in five seasons.

While he valiantly anchored the Wizards' interior during that stretch, his career was not noteworthy enough for his jersey to be reserved by the franchise. Gortat, obviously, understands this, making his banter with his old team even more hysterical.

Bradley Beal, meanwhile, is probably used to Gortat's own brand of humor after their years together as teammates.

Gortat was traded by the Wizards to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2018 for Austin Rivers. He played one season in LA before announcing his retirement last February.

Russell Westbrook, on the other hand, has now received blessings from two former Wizards players. Earlier, Gilbert Arenas said it would be an honor to have Westbrook use his #0 jersey–which has been unofficially retired by the Wizards since 2010.

Looks like Russ is sticking with the no. 4 (which he used in high school) in his first year in Washington. Luckily for him, Gortat doesn't mind at all.
