Washington Wizards center Dwight Howard has tagged the recent lawsuit filed by Masin Elije as a ‘money grab' attempt.

Elije, who identifies as a gay man, has filed a lawsuit against the 15-year NBA veteran. According to him, Howard approached him in Nov. 2018 and asked him to sign a non-disclosure agreement “regarding their communications.”

Once Elije refused to sign the agreement and according to him, the eight-time all-star started making threats on his life. Per TMZ Sports, Howard, who's out with a lower back injury since Nov. 18, claimed that Elije's lawsuit is nothing but a ‘money grab' attempt.

“I don't know this person, never seen him,” Howard said. “Any allegation said about me is false.”

The lawsuit doesn't specify what the eight-time All-Star was trying to keep out of the public. But via Twitter last November, Elije accused Howard and a pastor named Calvin Simmons, of sexual harassment, threatening, and manipulating him. He also said that they offered “hush money.”

In addition, Elije claimed that he had a relationship with the former Defensive Player of the Year — whom he met at a Wild'n Out party — and cheated on him with a transgender woman. The series of posts contained alleged conversations with Howard — both thru text and phone.

The 33-year-old center shared that he plans to respond to Elije's lawsuit with legal actions of his own.
