With the Feb. 7 trade deadline just around the corner, the Washington Wizards have inquired about the availability of Mike Conley and Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies.

Per Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, the Wizards might be looking to trade for the two All-Stars. However, the Charlotte Hornets reportedly have the upper hand in acquiring Gasol.

Reports reveal that the Grizzlies are looking to trade the 34-year-old Gasol which signifies a new chapter for the team after a decade-long partnership with the big man. Amid the trade talks, Gasol didn't travel with the team for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He also did not play in the Grizzlies' win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

A popular belief among analysts is that there's a bigger possibility that Gasol will be shipped instead of Conley. According to reports, the Grizzlies are looking to trade Conley for a point guard of his caliber. Rumors have pointed to a possible three-team trade which includes guards Kyle Lowry of the Toronto Raptors and Ricky Rubio of the Utah Jazz, with Conley ending up in Toronto.

Conley and Gasol have led the Grizzlies to multiple playoff appearances in the last decade. This is the first time that the team is aggressively looking for trade partners involving the two.
