It's been three days since NBA free agency opened, and one of the bigger names who remain without a team at this point is former All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins. He played for the Golden State Warriors last season, but it doesn't look like the team is interested in re-signing him.

There has been little to no report about teams being interested in signing Cousins, even after the fact that he switched agents in the middle of free agency. However, it's possible that he might end up signing with another team soon. According to reports, Boogie was seen speaking with Washington Wizards' interim general manager Tommy Sheppard in Las Vegas.

While it could be nothing but just small talk, it also could mean the start of a deal between both sides. The Wizards are one of the teams who still need a legitimate starting center, a hole that Cousins could immediately fill in. However, there is one asterisk about Boogie that Washington, as well as other teams, are trying to be cautious about, and that's his injury history.

Cousins just came back in January after missing almost an entire year recovering from an Achilles injury, and three months later he suffered a thigh injury that would cost him to miss the entire second round and conference finals for the Warriors. He returned in the NBA Finals but he didn't even look like a shell of his old self.

If Boogie can prove that he can stay healthy, the Wizards might consider bringing him in. After all, they've already signed oft-injured guard Isaiah Thomas to a “prove yourself” contract. However, Cousins is reportedly looking to get paid this season, but if Washington or any other team will refuse to give him what he want, he might end up not having a team at the start of next season.
