Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas didn't play on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a calf injury.

The good news? Wizards head coach Scott Brooks says Thomas' injury is “nothing serious.”

Thomas has played in 17 games this season for the Wizards. He's averaging 12.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists while shooting 44.6 percent from the field, 41.0 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

The Wizards defeated the Sixers to improve to 7-13 on the season.

Thomas is looking to revive his NBA career with the Wizards. He struggled with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers during the 2017-18 season and fell out of the Denver Nuggets’ playing rotation last season. IT hasn’t been the same superstar player since suffering that hip injury with the Boston Celtics in 2017.

Thomas averaged 8.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 12 regular season games with the Nuggets last season while shooting 34.3 percent overall, 27.9 percent from the 3-point line and 63.0 percent from the charity stripe.

A two-time All-Star, Thomas has career averages of 18.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 502 games. The Wizards play again on Friday against the Miami Heat in South Beach. We'll see if IT will play or not.
