Washington Wizards point guard Isaiah Thomas says he's going to keep Antonio Brown in his prayers.

The New England Patriots released Brown on Friday. Thomas can sense Brown is going through a lot right now and said he will pray for the talented wide receiver to get his life back in order.

Adversity is something Isaiah Thomas is used to. Although he hasn't had any off the court issues like Antonio Brown is currently dealing with, the Wizards guard has been through a lot the past couple of years.

IT hasn’t been the same superstar since suffering that hip injury with the Boston Celtics in 2017. He struggled with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers during the 2017-18 season and fell out of the Denver Nuggets’ playing rotation last season. Fans also have to remember Thomas tragically lost his sister in 2017.

Thomas is looking to revive his NBA career with the Wizards. Unfortunately, the injury bug just won't leave the lefty alone. Thomas injured his thumb during routine workouts this week and had to undergo surgery. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks before returning to action.

It was a tough break for Thomas, but the good news is the injury didn’t occur in his surgically repaired hip.

Ish Smith will likely be the Wizards’ starting point guard now, even when Thomas comes back. IT was supposed to battle Smith in training camp for the starting point guard spot.

Thomas averaged 8.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 12 regular season games with the Nuggets last season, shooting 34.3 percent overall and 63.0 percent from the charity stripe.
