Washington Wizards point guard John Wall took to Twitter to apologize after a video surfaced of him throwing up gang signs.

The video appears to show Wall partying in New York, with the former All-Star throwing up signs and showcasing a red flag:

John Wall addressed the video on Sunday morning, apologizing to his teammates and the Wizards organization:

“First and foremost I want to apologize to my family, my teammates and all of those that have always supported me,” Wall tweeted. “I made a mistake, something I regret. I will continue to work hard to be better on the court and more importantly off the court.”

This is not the first time Wall has purportedly flashed his apparent allegiances. He even threw up signs during a playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks:

The Wizards will hope John Wall can show more discretion and, hopefully, stay healthy as he works his way back from a ruptured Achilles.

Wall did not play this past season as he continued to rehab, though he has long said he feels fully healthy:

The Wizards have struggled to stay relevant in John Wall's absence, despite the brilliance of combo guard Bradley Beal.

Washington managed to sneak its way into the Orlando bubble, but they failed to reach a potential play-in game for the eighth and final seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Wizards have anchored the franchise to both Wall and Beal, given how much money they have invested in their star backcourt in the next few years.

John Wall is vowing to learn from his mistakes and return his focus to the hardwood.
