It has been a lengthy road to recovery for Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, as he continues to work his way back from an Achilles injury that caused him the better part of the previous season.

Nevertheless, despite all the challenges brought about by his unfortunate situation, Wall remains in high spirits, as he recently shared how his rehab process has actually been quite enjoyable for him.

“I’m enjoying it. It’s a fun process,” he said, via Chase Hughes of NBC Sports. “It’s not boring like a lot of people told me it would be. I love the challenge.”

Wall is definitely a glass-half-full type of guy, and his optimism in the face of trying times is indeed inspiring. In his mind, this is yet another hurdle that he intends to conquer, using all the negativity thrown at him as fuel to work even harder.

“I love to hear everybody talking about ‘oh he will never be it again, John Wall is done.’ That motivates me more every day,” he said. “I wake up and say ‘I’m going to prove somebody wrong.’”

In spite of his remarkable attitude, though, Wall is still expected to miss a good part of the upcoming season. An Achilles injury is one of the worst types of injuries an athlete can suffer, and this becomes even more significant when it comes to players like Wall who rely heavily on their quickness and explosiveness.

Nonetheless, the five-time All-Star is definitely facing the challenge head-on, as we all wait in anticipation for the comeback of one of the best point guards in the NBA today.
