We're only a few hours into free agency, and already, we've come across some landscape-shifting developments that will have a tremendous impact on the 2019-20 season. A new one has just emerged and it has come in the form of John Wall reportedly demanding a trade away from the Washington Wizards.

This report comes via Shams Charania of The Athletic:

While this is still an eyebrow-raising bit of news, we can't say that it comes as a complete shock. As Shams noted above, John Wall has been linked to a move to the Houston Rockets, and it is clear that the Wizards have removed the untouchable tag previously attached to his name. Wall probably feels that he is no longer wanted in D.C., which has resulted in the 30-year-old demanding for a trade.

As for the Wizards, they have also made it abundantly clear in previous days that the team's direction moving forward will be to build around All-Star shooting guard Bradley Beal. Washington general manager Tommy Sheppard himself made this statement, and has since cast a huge shadow on Wall's role for the squad.

Houston is Wall's most likely destination right now, with want-away star Russell Westbrook making his way towards the opposite direction. This is anything but a done deal right now, though, and with news now emerging that Wall definitely wants out, some other interested parties might want to join in on the action. It would not be surprising if a couple of new suitors try to also trade for Wall.
