The Washington Wizards have been without their star point guard John Wall for quite some time. He injured his knee and then later had surgery on it, putting his recovery at around six to eight weeks.

The Wizards, to their credit, have kept themselves above water without Wall. But they will definitely need him in the playoffs. Unfortunately, news came out Monday just how far away Wall is from returning to the basketball floor.

In an extended media session, he touched on many topics, including that he had no timetable for his return, per Ben Standig of The Sports Capitol.

There is some good news that came out of his media session. It appears that Wall's knee feels good, which is a great sign for his return. But that still doesn't give much indication as to how far along he is into his rehab. Good is not the same as ready to play high-level basketball.

There was some fun stuff, too. He changed his hair because he was bored. That's pretty funny and also understandable. He hasn't played basketball for months, and with a knee injury, you can't really do much of anything. So change of hairstyle at least breaks up some monotony.

He also managed to drop around 15 pounds “by accident,” which seems strange. Usually with not much physical activity, people gain weight, not lose it. Many dieters will want to attempt contact with him to figure out what this weight-loss secret is.

But basketball-wise, the Wizards would probably like to at least have some idea of when Wall will get back to basketball. And of course, Wall does too. Time will tell at his point.
