Washington Wizards point guard John Wall and Brooklyn Nets small forward Kevin Durant worked out with each other this offseason since they were both recovering from Achilles tears. The two All-Stars are also close friends off the court.

During his media session with Nets reporters on Tuesday, Durant had some comments that will make Wizards fans excited, as the two-time Finals MVP said Wall looked “amazing” in their offseason workouts.

This is a great sign for Wizards supporters. When you have one of the best players in the world in Kevin Durant complimenting John Wall on how he's looking after an Achilles tear, odds are the former No. 1 overall pick worked really hard in his rehab.

Wall, like Durant, missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear. The Wizards' floor general last played in 2018-19. He averaged 20.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists in 32 games before undergoing season-ending heel surgery. He would have played in 2019-20 had he not fallen at his house and tore his Achilles.

The Wizards, who missed the playoffs last season, are looking forward to having Wall and Bradley Beal in the backcourt again. In Wall's absence, Beal has established himself as one of the best shooting guards in the NBA. He was second to only James Harden in points per game in 2019-20, as Beal put up 30.5 points a night.

It should be fun to watch Wall and Beal play together again. Although Wall has been mentioned in a few trade rumors, Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard has already said he's not trading his point guard.
