The Washington Wizards have made their way to the Peach State for a match-up against the Atlanta Hawks, but it sounds like they'll be without the services of point guard John Wall.

According to a report from Candace Buckner of The Washington Post, Wall will be held out of Friday night's game due to a sore left knee.

Wall, now 27 years of age, tells Buckner that he plans to visit the doctor in Cleveland who performed his knee surgeries in 2016. For now, Wizards head coach Scott Brooks says Wall will be listed as day-to-day.

“Our doctors here have been doing a great job but there's nothing wrong with getting a second opinion,” Wall told Buckner.

With Wall out of the lineup, Tomas Satoransky will likely be called on to take the starting point guard reigns, with Tim Frazier serving as a reserve.

Losing Wall for any amount of time is tough. In his 37 games played for the Wizards this season, the former University of Kentucky Wildcat has turned in averages of 19.4 points on 41.8 percent shooting from the field (35.8 percent from beyond the arc), 9.3 assists (second-best in the NBA), and 3.5 rebounds.

The Wizards have lost four of their last five games, including Thursday's 121-112 set-back in Oklahoma City against the Thunder. Without a doubt, they'll be looking for improvement in Saturday night's game against the Hawks. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Southeast having live broadcast coverage.
