It's not a good sign when a team is only eight games in and your team is already getting booed off the court but that is the case for John Wall and the Washington Wizards. The Wizards lost on Friday night to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who were on the second night of a back to back by a final of 134-111. After the game Wall said he thinks the issues with this team start on the defense.

“Offense has never been a problem for us,” guard John Wall said via ESPN. “We score the ball very well. It's just what can we do on the defensive end. Until we figure that out, we're going to have these same problems.”

“It just looks like nobody is on the same page.”

The Wizards are giving up a league-worst 123.9 points per game and with the way the team is working together, it doesn't look like it's going to get any better soon. A lot of the talk has been about that poor defense, but Austin Rivers thinks the problems run deeper than that.

“It could be more than that,” Rivers said. “I don't want to speak on it too much. But, you know.”

A lot of the talk has been about how many players on the Wizards are on a contract year which might be causing some players to play for themselves rather than the team. Whatever the case coach Scott Brooks hasn't lost faith in the team and still thinks they can win together.

“We've got to stick together and we've got to keep playing for one another,” coach Scott Brooks said. “I still believe in these guys.
