Over the past couple of years, a lot of people have criticized the NBA for being soft. The league has evolved from players being too physical back in the 1980s and 1990s to being ā€œuntouchableā€ in the present day. Even players themselves usually complain about officials calling a lot of petty fouls. Sometimes, it's the players that want the game to be played the way it used to be back in the day.

Washington Wizards guard John Wall is one of the individuals who believe that the lack of physicality in the NBA has made the game less fun.

Wall has made a reputation for being one of the most athletic guards in the league. However, he has been plagued by injuries over the past couple of seasons. So if the game will be physical once again, he might be one of the guys who will often watch from the bench because of various ailments suffered from banging bodies with opponents.

In fact, Wall wasn't even playing in a game when he tore his Achilles a couple of months ago, so the physicality of the game might not benefit him at all.

But the former All-Star has a point. The league's officials need to allow players to play with a little bit of physicality of aggression. Ticky-tack foul calls will not only take the fun out of the game, it will also lengthen its duration.

The NBA has no plans of changing the present rules, so it means fans will have to deal with what's happening in the league right now ā€” for better or worse.
