Washington Wizards All-Star point guard John Wall wants to play with Davis Bertans.

For that to happen, the Wizards will have to hold onto him past Thursday's trade deadline since Wall is most likely going to miss the season recovering from his Achilles tear.

Bertans is receiving a lot of interest from teams, but so far, the Wizards have been adamant about keeping the sharpshooter.

Via Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington:

All-Star point guard John Wall sat down with NBC Sports Washington's Chris Miller for an upcoming episode of Wizards Talk, and he says he wants to play with the Latvian Laser. Miller asked Wall who has impressed him the most this season during the time he has sat out and watched while recovering from a ruptured left Achilles.

“Davis Bertans. I knew he could shoot the ball being with the Spurs, but I never knew he could shoot the ball that well. I think it's very amazing if I get the opportunity to have him and Brad on both ends at one time,” Wall said.

Entering Monday, Bertans is averaging 14.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 43.1 percent from the field, 42.2 percent from beyond the arc and 88.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Bertans becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season ends. The Wizards will surely have a lot of competition in terms of signing him.
